Mindora (“we,” “our,” “the app”) is a wellness application designed to support mind-body chronic pain management through daily check-ins, journaling, relaxation tools, and personalized insights. This policy explains what information Mindora collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
Mindora is a wellness and self-management tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, and is not a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare provider.
Information We Collect
-Check-in data you enter directly, including pain levels, emotional state, and journal entries
-App engagement data, including feature usage and session activity
-Health data, with your permission, via Apple HealthKit — specifically: Heart Rate, Resting Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, Step Count, Walking Speed, Walking Asymmetry, Active Minutes, Sleep Analysis.
-Account information, such as your email address, used for authentication
How Health Data Is Handled
Raw HealthKit data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. Only derived summaries you have explicitly enabled — for example, a daily activity score — may be used to personalize features such as your Mindora Score or the AI chat mentor.
AI Chat Mentor
Mindora's chat feature uses OpenAI's API to generate responses. Only on-device-derived summaries and the content of your conversation are sent for processing — never raw HealthKit records. Conversations are subject to OpenAI's data usage policies, available here.
Data Storage
App data, including check-ins, journal entries, and account information, is stored securely via Firebase (Google Cloud). We retain this data for as long as your account remains active, or as required by law.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the app (such as Firebase and OpenAI) or to comply with the law.
Your Choices
Request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting hello@mindora.io
Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health
Export or review your check-in and journal data by contacting hello@mindora.io
Children's Privacy
Mindora is not directed at children under 13 (or 16, depending on jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as Mindora evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
